“Grand Children Festival“
The Children festival 2010 is the first program of its own kind in the educational history of Mumbai. This 30 days long event (spread in 3 months) is designed and shaped after long thought process of educationist, psychiatrist and intellectual of the city. This Festival largely focuses on the overall development of school students, looking at their present conditions and the demands of the future. However this year focus is only on Urdu Medium schools, which fall under major “deprived” category.
Jamaat-e-islami hind (JIH) Mumbai metro and Students Islamic organization of India (SIO Mumbai Division) is organizing this event, concluding program scheduled on 18th-19th December at Maulana Azad ground Jogeshwari (west), wherein more than 6000 students of 70 schools will be participating.
Aims and Objectives
To prepare students to face modern world challenge by providing them excellent platform, wherein they nourish their talents and flourish to a better and responsible citizen of India.
Activities planned
1. Individual Counselling of 3000 students from 45 schools across the city by hiring team of expert Psychologist of Top Hospitals of Mumbai.
2. Detailed analysis of aptitude test by these experts
3. Parental Guidance workshops for 6000 parents in 60 schools covering major part of the city.
4. Highly professional level inter school Drama competition for all participating Schools.
5. Biggest Film Festival (comprising of more than 200 films) for school children. Films to be dubbed in Urdu for better understanding.
6. Largest ever Exhibition. ( wherein all schools participate for model/charts making)
7. Documentary Film by Home Production for the event
8. Grand Finale TWO day’s event at 1, 80,000 sq.ft Ground accommodating 6000 school children.
9. Special appearance of lesser privilege children. Inaugration by group of these students.
Activities Completed
1. More than 3000 students have participated in the aptitude test from 45 schools across team of expert Psychologists comprised of more than 50 doctors from Masina Hospitals, Mumbai. (October-2010)
2. Detailed analysis of aptitude test by these experts done and results ready. (Nov-2010)
3. Parental Guidance workshops for 6000 parents in 60 schools covering major part of the city, wherein these results are distributed. (Dec-2010)
4. Documentary Film prepared by Home Production for the event, which is shown at all 60 schools during parental guidance
Activities in Near Future

2. Biggest Film Festival (comprising of more than 200 films) for school children. Films to be dubbed in Urdu for better understanding. (18-19 Dec-2010)
